Everyone in India is aware about the Maggi noodles controversy. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) – our food regulator- found samples of Maggi noodles to contain higher than the permissible amount of Lead. Have you ever thought that a “Maggi Effect” can also be extended to our everyday apparel and footwear products? There are over 800 substances that can be used in the manufacture of apparel and footwear which can cause harm to consumers as much as- or even worse than- Lead in Maggi noodles!
